Saturday 26/06/2009: Both Hilary and I had a feeling to look out of the window at just the time this object passed high over near our house, travelling from the west at 11.40pm. I grabbed my camcorder and this is what I captured.
Upon enlargement the object has a glowing core.
But is it just a Chinese 'party' Lantern? perhaps not, as towards the end of my capture when I lost the object in my viewfinder, Hilary, who was watching the event through binoculars, said the object suddenly shot upwards...bit strange for a paper lantern to do this and with no wind about.
Also, the actual travelling speed this thing was moving at makes me think it WAS something strange.
Over the years here we have previously seen and filmed other ufo's just there as well, in that area of the sky and at a similar high altitude.
