Re: Your earlier report of two unidentified flying objects hovering above Farnborough Airfield, Hampshire, November 6th, 2008. I saw more or less the same thing on Thursday night 12th February 2009.
The mystery object that I witnessed, remained stationery in the sky for a long time, before later shooting-out two, large, light-beams.
This activity was followed by the appearance of a large, orange ball, which faded and then grew bigger in intensity. My daughter, who was also watching, totally freaked-out when the beams and the ball of light appeared: We noticed also that whatever it was we looking at, had a small red light which flashed every so often.
In all, I would estimate that the unidentified stayed in the same spot for over 3 hours!
It's aerial position was roughly above Farnborough main line station, the Abbey or that area.
At first I thought that a train may have derailed, but trains appeard to be running normally.
Cannot explain what it was that we saw.
