Netherton, Dudley, W.Midlands, April 26,
2009
Time: Approx
11pm
Message: Walking home, down
Baptist End
Road, had not been
drinking, or otherwise influenced, glanced to my
left
across allotments plot of land,
allowing a briefly
unobstructed view of
wide stretch of
suburban sky.
There I saw a yellow light [with much
smaller
red
lights in it/next to
it], pulsing.
Two teeneagers happened to come out of an
alley on
bikes, paying me no attention, and commented on
it, saying
"is that it
again?".
My
curiosity
heightened and I looked back to see it
flare up both
in
brightness, and it
[at least]
tripled in size, becomming a blazing, yellow
"street
lamp" type light, similar in size, but much
further away.
If I had
been much
closer it
would have
been overwhelming.
The two
youngsters said
they had
been
watching it over the nearby
reservoir, and that it had split into
two seperate lights
which went off into different
directions. They seemed as
surprised
as I was, and I
detected no ploy or attempt at a joke
being played,
only
sincerity.
I
ran back to house
to fetch my father, on his way out with
our dog, and
then walked around for 5 or ten minutes
trying to track
it's
movement as it
moved parallel
to the
road, unfortunately, mostly blocked
by
houses.
There
was no noise
whatsoever. I met my
father some 5 minutes after,
slightly
closer to the object [maybe some 100 metres
closer, two
streets away],
and saw something else, a
bright
yellow light with a red orb-like light behind
it
and a small red flashing light.
We
were all off 100 metres away as it passed
us, at about
helicopter cruising height, and there was
still no noise,
it turned
abruptly and glided off at a
right
angle, away from Baptist End Road.
I ran
up the
hill to get a better vantage
point,
but lost track of the object after
this.
I have
seen many objects in the sky, and, whilst
not the
strangest,
this WAS strange. Last week a
Police helicopter was active at the same
distances, and
there was no
comparison in noise. That night, the helicopter
prevented
me from sleeping. Tonights
sighting was 100%
without
noise, and
at the
same distance away. I have just
moved back here from Wales, and it makes me
wonder how
many times soemthing like
this is simply ignored...please feel free
to contact me to
clarify any
details.

Update from the witness 27/04/09: Another point of
interest is the Black Country's [Dudley, Stourbridge etc] network of underground
canals and limestone caverns. In day light, today, I noticed the objects final
course was toward a mast on a nearby
hill.
