On the 26th of March, 2009, at approx 10.30 pm, Derek, who is a
good family friend, looked out of the window of his
home in Overton,
Hampshire, United
Kingdom and saw a
large, shimmering orb in the sky,
hovering
directly over
the village.
He quickly grabbed his Sony camcorder (which is just
a
basic, early model hence the color loss issues here),
and
filmed this object
for as long as it was visible,
before eventually fading away.
It's altitude
is
estimated to have been no more
than 2000 feet...and Derek thinks that lots of
people
might have seen this rare event.
Now to me, as a
seasoned investigator
of UFO's and
the Paranormal, this
footage is the best and closest
evidence that
I have seen
from the
United Kingdom, as it gets almost to the very heart of how
some orbs are.
Many people will simply slag this off,
as they have done with
everything
Derek has captured on
video, saying its just too
unbelievable, (or
not clear
enough,
no reference points, blah, blah, blah...any old excuse to
escape what's being presented), but the the fact is, Derek
DOES get this wierd
stuff happen, it
seems to be attracted
to him, or him to it...and whether
you
choose to believe
what you see
here or not is a personal matter, and I don't
profess to
know what this object is as such, but you have
my sworn
testimony, as
Chairman of BEAMS - The British
Earth and Aerial Mysteries Society, that this is
authentic
footage of a genuine
phenomenon of some kind...I would trust this
witness with
my last pound, he is that
honest.
