Dear Hilary Porter
Hi My husband & I have just seen what we believe to be an unexplained sighting in Wombourne, Staffordshire.
Driving home around 12.45am 3rd January, 2009, saw one bright orange light approaching from east. Pointed it to my husband saying looks like helicoptor but with an unusual light.
It seemed to be searching.
Then we saw another one a short distance away and then another. Moving fairly slow. We had stopped the car at this point to watch and even got out of car.
The light from all three was a constant, very orange, much like a sodium street light.
We had killed the engine to listen - but no sound what so ever. No apparent green, red lights. As we watched we decided to move just around the corner to get a better view over open field.
They seemed to form a triangulation and then gradually disappear. This was one of the clearest nights with a mass of stars.
We drove towards a local small airfield & then on towards a milatary airfield but saw nothing else.
On looking on your website for sightings I noticed that nearly all of the Sightings seem very similar.
