Clophill, Bedford, 18th December, 2007, U.K.
Time: 7.00pm
On Saturday the witness and her husband were driving back to Clophill from Pavenham when a bright round light, described as "silvery white" went rapidly across the sky from east to west (i.e., it appeared at the top right of their windscreen and headed towards the left), traversing their field of vision in around ten seconds.
The object's actual size was difficult to estimate but its apparent size was
relatively small. It could have been blocked out, she
says, with a fingertip
held at arm's length. Nevertheless,
it was obviously circular in profile and did
not leave a
tail of any kind.
Moving
soundlessly, it
disappeared from view behind the Aldi
garage. Their immediate impression was
that it was some
kind of projectile and the couple waited for an explosion - but
there was none.
