Farnborough, Surrey, 26th December, 2007, U.K.
Time: 5:45pm
Description: Two bright,
glowing spheres flying towards the east.
Conditions:
Weather was
slightly overcast, with occassional light rain.
On the 26th of December I felt strangely compelled to go to the front door of our house and look at the night sky.
As I did so, I felt glad that I did when I witnessed two bright, glowing spheres in the air, towards the west, (roughly over the village of Cove, Hampshire), steadily moving from there in a perfectly straight line towards the east.
I then shouted to my partner Hilary to take a look at this spectacle as I rushed to get my camcorder.
I began filming immediately when I returned, but fully expected to hear the sound of engines and rotor blades as these mystery objects got ever nearer, such was the visual clarity of this sighting, (must be helicopters I thought); but I could hear nothing as they passed across our direct line of vision, (although they were many hundreds of feet up)...and there were no navigation lights on these things either...I was shocked.
The UFOs maintained an equal distance from each other until towards the latter part of filming, when the front sphere accelerated right away and into the distance.
These two unidentifieds covered the space of over 4 miles in 2 and half minutes!
If one held out a 2p coin at arms length, that would be about right for the size of these things I would estimate.
I reported this sighting to the air traffic control people at Heathrow, within half an hour of the experience and left the details on their answerphone.
They got back to us next day and informed us that they hadn't picked up this unidentified air traffic on their radars...and I also told them that we had a UFO web site where I would be putting this footage online for people to see...I used the term "because it was so unusual"....and the person I spoke with replied something to the effect of "its not unusual for us sir, we get these reports quite often", to which I said, "Do you? That's interesting!"
