A man has made an out-of-this world claim to have a photograph that might show a UFO in the skies over Leicestershire.

The wife of the 54-year-old, who lives in a village in the county, took the picture on a mobile phone as they drove through floodwater between Middleton and Bringhurst, near Medbourne, on March 10, 2016.

The man, who does not want to be named, said: "I have thought long and hard about this but I can't explain what it is.

"There was nothing on the car windscreen and nothing on the screen of my wife's phone when the photograph was taken.

"We did not see the thing initially. I just said to my wife: 'No-one will believe how deep the flood water is. Take a picture.'

"It was only later that day that we looked at the picture and I looked closely I noticed the shape in the sky that looks like an alien spaceship.

"Maybe it is maybe it isn't. I don't know. I just wanted to put it out there for people to look at."

The man, who passed on the photograph, said: "Who's to say there are not aliens travelling to our planet?

Another shot; and nothing unusual was captured...

Source: Leicester Mercury: Some comments from 'Mercury' readers; it's definitely 'a helicopter'... someone else swears 'it's a blimp' - another says it could be 'a plastic bag' - and lastly that 'it's dirt on the windscreen'...

Of course, the area was flooded, the air was moist, therefore the 'object' could be a water droplet which the witnesses did not remember or failed to see at the time; it is worth remembering though, that elsewhere in the UK there have been other cases over the years, where objects which closely mirror this particular unidentified have actually been seen and recorded on video; such as where in Aigburth, Liverpool, a taxi driver videoed a near-identical UFO hovering over Mariners Wharf at about 10:20 p.m. on June 29, 2015. (please click these words to see the report; also, a screen shot of the object is shown below).
