  I witnessed 3 strange aerial lights, diagonally sandwiched on top of each 
  other.

  These looked like planes 'stacking' at first, but the lights were too big and
  they just disappeared; the visibility was clear, so I don't know where they 
  went. 

  I'm a bit perplexed as to what it could have been. 

  I monitored the skyline for further plane paths, but no more appeared in 
  that vicinity.
