Newhaven, East Sussex, 23/7/08
Location: Just over
English channel
Message: I was looking north east
in the sky and a light
caught my
eyes.
It was
moving at great speed to the south,
and it's
altitude was
an estimated
15000ft.
After about 5 seconds it appeared to
break in to two pieces, then fell in the direction of the
sea, still at speed.
I then
lost sight of the
object as it passed behind
houses.
It was not a
shooting
star, I have seen thousands of them, and the
characteristics were so clearly
different.
