'At 11.20pm my partner and I were out in the
garden having a cigarette and a chat when we noticed the sound of a
helicopter.
My partner and I both started to look for the chopper because it sounded more military, a heavier engine sound than the police chopper anyway.
As we were scanning we noticed a VERY bright white light heading due East, far too low to be the ISS or a satellite of any kind...it was too low for that, moving steadily and smoothly.
It was so bright that it did that streaking thing at the
edges, (you know, how we draw points on a star to portray the effect of
streaking? It did that).
The helicopter was following behind at a lower altitude and was dark. It appeared to be trailing the 'light' but I felt it was hanging back.
The light sped up on the same course; and then it was gone: Either it sped off VERY quickly or it 'turned off'.
The chopper didn't pass over us again.
