A UFO captured with a Sony camcorder with infrared filming capabilities, a modern way of observing the skies looking for potential alien crafts. In the video footage it is clear that a bright solid looking structure is observed. As I spot the object, I zoom in it to get a closer look, it's very bright, twinkly and clearly reflecting a lot of Sun light.
The camcorder that I was using is a Sony DCR DVD106E, it has the nightshot feature which enables it see in the near infrared spectrum as well as visible, which gives a slightly brighter image due to the CCD light sensor receiving more light wavelengths. Due to Sony's restrictions, I had to overcome the exposure issues by filming in a low evening sun and using an ND4 camera filter.

As I tracked the UFO, I quickly realised I wasn't filming a plane, I've filmed planes on hundreds of occasions and this looked completely different. With the ND (neutral density) filter I was using, instead of a IR pass filter, it gave me the chance to experiment with light spectrum shift. So when I was filming this object flying across the sky in near IR and visible mixed wavelengths, I then switched the nightshot off, back to visible wavelengths only and the object vanished. It wasn't reflecting visible light. A couple of seconds later I switched the camcorder back to IR/visible mix and the UFO reappeared, it was reflecting IR light.
After a couple of light spectrum shifts the UFO disappears behind some clouds and its gone.

I've filmed UFOs on many occasions but this is a first. Real evidence UFOs remaining totally invisible to the naked by a flick of a switch.
