Welcome to B.E.A.M.S.

Founded in 1991, our society consists of a
team of active reporters and field investigators who
factually gather, study and disseminate evidence relating to Earth Mysteries, (e.g. Ley Lines, Terrestrial Energies and Ancient Site Anomalies), Strange Aerial Happenings, (e.g. Unidentified Flying Objects or UFOs), and The Paranormal, (e.g. Spirit and Psychic Phenomena).

Godalming, Surrey, 17th August, 2007, England.

Time: 2:45pm

The Surrey Advertiser newspaper phoned at 3pm as they had a lady from Godalming who had witnessed a strange daylight sighting, and needed to get in touch with a local UFO group.

A lady called Karen and her sister had seen what they first described as maybe a bird flying way in the distance over the Eastern part of Godalming, at 2.45pm.

Then the two women thought the object might be simply a child’s balloon or even a piece of cardboard blowing about, but then Karen’s sister said quickly go and get the binoculars, so Karen ran into the house, grabbed them and went back to the scene.

"Looking through the binoculars both sisters could see that what was flying in the sky was definitely not a bird or any of the other things the witnesses had first thought of, but a huge black 60ft rod!"

As Karen tried to explain: "it was like an unsharpened pencil which went vertical then back to horizontal, but tilting ground wards. It had no appendages, was totally silent and flying much lower than a plane would, and had a thinner fuselage."

The UFO turned as it approached Farncombe Surrey, and she could see a cluster of orange lights at one end of the rod. The sighting lasted for almost 10 minutes.

The two sisters viewed this object from Holloway Hill, Hydons Ball area as it went on an east then northerly direction, in a curving flight path as it moved across the sky.

"The craft continued to fly in the direction of Guildford Surrey."

Karen wanted to think this craft was something military and probably secret, and found it hard to think the unthinkable that it was a genuine UFO.
