| Message | On July 27th 2018 I was standing on my balcony here in Bristol (UK) at
around 10.45pm. I had been trying to watch the full moon lunar eclipse, but
there was heavy cloud. I looked directly up to see which constellation was
in the sky as the cloud was breaking above me and I caught part of Cygnus.
The eclipse was over by then and the moon was hidden behind cloud and
behind big trees in front of me.
Above me the cloud started to thin and I noticed a weird shimmer or shadow
in the cloud and then the cloud broke and out flew a string of of 5 or 7 very
bright red lights. It most definitely wasn't a line of Chinese lanterns or a
balloon or the moon. I was surprised because you can usually see jet lights
in cloud if thin enough, but it was like they just switched on when they came
out. The line of lights was shaped like a boomerang, but could've been part
of a disc as it flew back into cloud and over my flat and was obviously part
of a large object, but there was no way to tell how large.
The lights were definitely attached to an object, but it was like it was not
visible. What got me most was there was no sound. The whole thing only
lasted about 3 seconds, but as soon as I saw it I knew I was looking at a
UFO.
I had this feeling of awe and just stood there on my balcony, the UFO had
already flown over, but my heart was pounding a little.
I'm very into astronomy and ET life so I watch the skies a lot, but have never
seen anything like this. I didn't have my phone on me to take a photo and
there wasn't time to take one anyway. I looked online for a few days to see
if anyone else saw it, but nothing. I did report it to MUFON, but they
reported it as being Bristol, Tennessee and never responded.
I thought I'd see if anyone had reported anything now 3 months on and found
this site so I thought I'd report what I saw.
