Welcome to B.E.A.M.S.

Founded in 1991, our society consists of a
team of active reporters and field investigators who
factually gather, study and disseminate evidence relating to Earth Mysteries, (e.g. Ley Lines, Terrestrial Energies and Ancient Site Anomalies), Strange Aerial Happenings, (e.g. Unidentified Flying Objects or UFOs), and The Paranormal, (e.g. Spirit and Psychic Phenomena).

The strangest contrails/chemtrails ever - or UFO trail?

15-09-17: Unusual Zigzag 'Contrail', (Possibly UFO Related)
Captured in Sky Over Teddington, Middlesex,
UK

At high altitudes, if there is enough moisture in the air, a contrail will form behind an airplane.

Fact: There are basically three types of contrails: short-lived, persistent non-spreading, and persistent spreading; yet in the above photograph, which was kindly sent into us by one of our BEAMS assistants, a new sort of trail is visible.

Message attached to the submitted photo reads: "Just a quick question, what do you make of this pic I took in the morning from my back garden looking east at about 6-7am. Thanks." End

The first thought we had on seeing this picture, was whether the unusual contrail/s could have resulted from some kind of secret, experimental military plane; if so, then it must be 'cloaked', because we can't even see an aircraft at all ahead of the zigzagging example!

Detail - where's the plane?

Would any human pilot in his right mind perform such a series of crazy, and probably risky, aerial acrobatics, (manoeuvres as evidenced by the erratic trail pattern) in what is obviously a busy commercial airline route?

Another possibility that we came up with, (albeit just another stab in the dark) is a process called 'Skywriting'; this is achieved using a small aircraft, able to expel special smoke during flight, flying in certain patterns that create writing readable by someone on the ground. Obviously though, what we have here isn't 'writing' as such... but still going along with the same idea, maybe what has been captured on this image is the result of a practice 'Skywriting' run; daft-sounding idea I know, but stranger things have happened.

Could this even be evidence of 'Chemtrails', something being deliberately sprayed in the air by a plane, (or planes) for purposes undisclosed to the general public?

What else? well, drones are not known to leave trails behind them - so that idea is out.

Finally, every serious student of our main subject will know, how UFOs are sometimes seen flying in a very illogical manner - suddenly stopping in mid-flight, bobbing up down and/or darting about, moving from side to side; and what's more, on rare occasions, they have even been observed leaving a trail behind them, so, this fact is also worth taking into consideration.

Or maybe it is no big deal at all; and these trail patterns only appear odd to us because we are not pilots ourselves, and therefore do not know everything there is to know concerning aircraft operation and aviation law; yet we're avid skywatchers - regularly out and about UFO hunting as it were, and these trails are completely new to us.

So, what does the reader think - unusual or not?  Perhaps someone else reading this report could provide us with a good ex-PLANE-ation for what has been photographed here. Answers please to... beamsinvestigations@sky.com
