Welcome to B.E.A.M.S.

Founded in 1991, our society consists of a
team of active reporters and field investigators who
factually gather, study and disseminate evidence relating to Earth Mysteries, (e.g. Ley Lines, Terrestrial Energies and Ancient Site Anomalies), Strange Aerial Happenings, (e.g. Unidentified Flying Objects or UFOs), and The Paranormal, (e.g. Spirit and Psychic Phenomena).

16-11-17: Unusual Crop Marking, Seen Looking Out From The Rollright Stones Complex, Great Rollright, Chipping Norton, UK

Now as the reader might have already guessed, here at BEAMS we are not really great fans of crop circles due to the high amount of hoaxing that takes place; [however, when it comes to the orb-type UFOs and other unexplained happenings that have been reported by many reliable witnesses in the vicinity of these hoaxed field impressions... that is a different story.]

Which leads me on to a a rather odd field pattern that I noticed whilst at
the Rollright Stones recently; for those who don't know about this site, it is a complex of three Neolithic and Bronze Age megalithic monuments near the village of Long Compton, on the borders of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, UK

Distant hilltop copse, as seen while looking out from just beyond the King Stone        King Stone

Specifically, when I spotted this marking I was situated just beyond
The King Stone, a single, weathered monolith; this is where I decided to take some shots of the surrounding landscape, looking out to a tree copse on a distant hilltop using the 83x optical zoom on my Nikon P900.

Obviously, this wasn't caused by wind damage or by a tractor; it's too neat and definitely looks artificial in my opinion; it looks rather like someone's initials 'NI' or 'IU' depending at which way up we are supposed to be seeing this; but this is rubbish graffiti... especially on the 'N'... if that is indeed iwhat it is.

Could be nothing; as I suggested, it could be just someone just playing a prank I suppose - or this marking may have some other logical explanation, (can't think of one though) but then again, I thought it worth including a picture of this here to let the reader decide for themselves and maybe answer the question as to whodunnit.

Does anyone know for sure who or what made this marking?
