I submit the details of this strange sighting without claiming any non-
explainable or paranormal source for the object in question. I merely
relay the details, as witnessed, for correlation with any other reports.

At approximate 19:45 on Sunday 27th August 2017, I was relaxing
outside with a cup of tea and reading, enjoying the sun slowly going
down and the general warm evening atmosphere.

Looking up from my book, I noted a small object in the long distance
performing zig zag movements, much as a fly might maneuver
erratically at close range. Sure that it was an object in the distance
I considered it might be a large bird of prey (e.g. buzzard) of which
there are a number residing in local forests but could not reconcile
the size, perceived distance and height.

I ventured inside to obtain some 9x60 binoculars and quickly found
the object again which by now was stationery.

The object was in fact two dark orbs, each the same size and
approximately the diameter of the orbs apart from each other
from surface edge to edge.

The objects(s) remained stationery for a good 2 minutes as I watched,
with my binoculars now balanced on the end of a long pole (one
handle of a pair of post hole diggers). I considered that they might be
balloons ('weather' or otherwise) but could not reconcile this with the
movement of the clouds which, whilst not extremely fast was energetic
enough to have provided impetus to a free floating balloon or 'Chinese
Lantern'.

After viewing for a few minutes I rushed back inside to call my wife but
within the 30 seconds I was away, the object(s) has disappeared and
I could no longer locate them.

I was based in Swaffham and the object(s) were visible due West of
my location at a 45 degree angle in the sky. I am used to seeing
training flights every day from nearby RAF Marham (5 miles away as
the crow flies) and so am familiar with low level and high level flights.

This object appeared to be at the higher end of normal flight training
operations that I regularly see and was certainly beyond 5000 ft
although accurate height was difficult to determine with no comparable
objects and since the objects were stationery during my binocular viewing.

I do not state these objects as 'UFOs', merely that I have never seen
such a strange vertically tandem sighting before and certainly know
that it was not a conventional aircraft or helicopter.

I only reject the hypothesis of a balloon since it moved freely for a
period but then became stationery for over 2 minutes in spite of clear
wind effects on the clouds.

Kind regards,
