Message 
An oval, soft green object hovered in sky for a minute or so and then shot 
upwards to the right at terrific speed and disappeared.  

It had a tail of light behind it.  

Both my mother and I saw this object at different times.  

My mother noticed it first but didn't say anything because she thought it 
would distract me from driving. 

It made no sound (at least audible to me) and was definitely not a plane.
