Hi
My name is XXXXXXX (withheld for security purposes)
Last night in village of Crowthorne, Berkshire we had a strange experience and I wanted to know if anyone had reported similar events.
Myself and partner was lying in bed talking when at aprox 1.15am we heard a loud Thud (LOUD) as if something had drooped from a great height.
This was accompanied by a huge flash of white light like a halogen bulb. This set of various house lights and alarms including house alarms i could hear in distance.
There was siren sounds which I can only assume was either police or ambulance moments after. The house backs on to woodland area and a lake it seems the sound came from that area most certainly.
I have witnessed all types of lightning and trust me this was not lightning or a thunder clap sound. It really sounded like a aiircraft downed in woods with a thud.

Update:
This witness was interviewed over the telephone at length and it was later found out there were power cuts on the estates across (Pine Ridge). Still nothing on news so we are puzzled.
