Hi guys, submitted a report on another site 4 years ago when we saw some
strange lights in the sky. It can be found at the link below but have copied
and pasted here anyway. What I didn't mention was that the formation moved
back to it's original position after shining the light up to the skies.

Location of Sighting: Farnborough, Hampshire UK
Date of Sighting: 01/12/2013
Time: 00:00
Witness Name: KJS
Witness Statement:I went outside to have a smoke and looked up to the sky
and thought it was a lovely clear night.

As I was looking at the stars, I noticed a group of 'stars' moving. They
were only a small cluster in a diamond, or what I thought at the time a
kite shape.

I called for my other half and he came to have a look and at first couldn't
see. But when I pointed again he saw them. They were moving very slow
and then stopped.

I asked my partner to get me my bicycle light and I thought I'd see if
I could get 'their' attention; the formation then started to move towards us
and then stopped. The lights kept fading in and out and sometimes saw
3/4 sometimes less.

I keep a telescope in the room and took that out to see if I could see what
it was.

I pointed it up in the sky to look, looked through the viewfinder and just
saw a few lights. The shape I saw was kind of wavy, nothing distinguishing,
so I proceeded to look through the lens. At this point I saw a shape of
7 white lights in a perfect circle. 6 lights were closer together than 1 light.
In that circle there were 2 other lights which were fainter than the others.

We kept looking at them as they then remained static for just over an hour
until the sky clouded over quite thick.

These were not stars. When you look through a telescope at a star or
planet you see a flickering light. These lights were static, no flicker,
no change of colour or anything. This is so surreal.
